The Three police officers who have gone viral for taking care of a woman’s three children so she could rush her other child to hospital on New Year’s Eve has been featured in the international media.
UK based HuffPost published the story highlighting the selfless act of the officers that has been shared on social media with over a quarter million views.
Constables Robert Franklin, Gilroy Edwards and Raniel Brown from Jamaica Constabulary Force was seen in a viral video with each holding a child while they sat in their police car. In the back, one of the officers can be seen bottle-feeding a tiny baby in his arms.
According to reports the officers have since been offered free all-inclusive holidays, after advocacy group Sarah’s Children, which lobbies for better treatment of abused children, partnered with tourist associations to thank them for their work.
The officers were also interviewed on local media and met with the commissioner of Police Antony Anderson.
