Prime Minister Andrew Holness has responded to the damning report from the Auditor General’s Department (AGD) on the procedural breaches and inconsistencies at the government run Petrojam.
In his response, Holness thanked the AGD for the comprehensive report which he did not fully review.
Holness was speaking in his constituency where he visited the families that were left homeless as a result of a fire that destroyed their home Last week.
Holness returned to the island on Wednesday after attending the G20 Summit in Argentina and a meeting of CARICOM leaders in Trinidad and Tobago.
The AGD released the findings of a comprehensive audit of Petrojam, which highlighted “explicit acts of nepotism” at the state-run refinery.
