Policeman Admitted In Hospital After Being Mowed Down By Taxi Operator In New Kingston

The Police is seeking to public’s assistance in locating a taxi operator who mowed down a police officer earlier this morning in New Kingston.

 
According to reports the black Toyota Wish motor car disobeyed the signal of the officer to stop at the intersection of Belmont and Trafalgar Road.
 
The police said the occupant of the vehicle licensed PJ 6379 resisted multiple attempts to be stopped and proceeded to mow the officer down.
 
The officer was rushed to hospital and was admitted.
In a post online the JCF said ‘thankfully, the Constable is being treated at hospital in stable condition. Our thoughts and prayers are with him at this time as well as with all our hardworking members working everyday to make Jamaica a safer place’.
