Approximately 125 campers participated in the National Police Youth Club’s annual summer camp, this time in Petersfield, Westmoreland.
The young people were exposed to several skill areas such as cake baking and decorating, food and nutrition, mechanic skills, customer service, painting, tiling and information technology.
The HEART Trust/NTA who provided facilitators, will also assess the campers at the end of the camp. Twenty-nine Police officers from across the island are also acting as facilitators.
Participants in this year’s camp hail from the areas of St. Andrew Central, St. Andrew South, Kingston East, Trelawny,St. Ann, St. Thomas, St. Elizabeth, St. Mary, St. James, Clarendon, Manchester and St. Catherine North.
The camp concludes on August 19.
