A curfew has been imposed in sections of Denham Town in western Kingston, following the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Adam Clarke on Bread Lane last night.
The police reported that Clarke, otherwise called Bigga, who was from Water Lane also in west Kingston was the pillion rider on a motorcycle, when gunmen opened fire on them while they were riding through community. The curfew, which began at 6 o’clock this morning will remain in effect until 6 a.m. on Friday.
The West Kingston Police Division which is under a Zones of Special Operation since October 2017, recorded a 22% reduction in crime in 2018. It was also a part of the general area where there was a State of Public Emergency, which ended on Monday.
